Welcome to The Oddment is the debut novella from Jake Horner. It is a whimsical, cozy fantasy about Elora Bramble. A highly anxious woman who is leaving her high stress job in the city to run a small tea shop in a magical town called Oakhaven. She learns to lean into found family and might even learn to relax a little bit. At least, that is, until her former life catches up with her in the form of a previous boss, a corporate tyrant, intent on draining the magic from Oakhaven. Elora must learn how to save her new home and protect the friends and family she has made along the way.
For fans of short, cozy fantasies. This book is a warm hug in a paper jacket. And reading it might just remind you that happiness can't be found efficiently. But it was always waiting for you at the bottom of a cup of warm tea shared with close friends that love you for exactly who you are.
