"Be silent and pray you aren't taken to work the river."
The best day of Honora's life has turned into a nightmare.
Trial day, the rite of passage all Solarni Coven members must perform, has come, and
Honora is set on becoming a Mistress of Arcana. When she takes center stage and
attempts to open a portal into her Uncle's war office-an undeniable proof of her
power- she's met with the void. A black abyss, the space between time.
Instead of her Uncle appearing, Honora is face-to-face with the ruler of the
underworld, her coven's greatest enemy. The demon ruler kidnaps her and drags her
to the dungeons of Gehenna.
But, deep in the caves and great halls of the underworld are whispers of a prophecy.
One that involves a witch-bride who will unite the covens under the King of
Gehenna's rule once and for all. Now, Honora must rely on her wits, a mysterious
shadow, and new allies to break free of the underworld and a betrothal she never
wanted.
