About this item
by John J. Spearman (Author)
A scepter a goddess hid, a city in ashes, and a marriage the gods interrupt because they are not done using the two people who can still finish the job
Married life in the doge's palace lasts weeks. Then the sky-father sends them both the same vision: Fiona Magellan, the golden priestess Dexter left in Jenestra, bent over a mysterious parchment. They arrive to find her jailed for a theft she did not commit.
Clearing her name uncovers what even the goddess of luck no longer commands-Serethyn's Scepter. The search takes them through jungles, desert, and a city that will pay when the war-goddess's people put that power in the wrong hands.
Falk's blade and Lara's arrows can keep the two of them alive to deliver the prize to the seat of the goddess-only to find unexpected trouble. The gods are still not done using them.
