About this item
by Michael Beechem Msw (Author)
1. Protagonist Dr. Patrick Greenberg's life journey is dominated by losses: parents killed in an automobile accident; foster parents motivated by monetary gains while absent love and empathy; denied university teaching tenure; hired by an unscrupulous bank president who frames Greenberg and embezzles 11 million dollars; jailed overnight; via the "dark web", Patrick assumes the identity of a dead man and escapes to Puerto Rico. Enthralled and preoccupied with the cultural features of his adopted country, especially the friendly inhabitants in the quaint hamlets who enrich his understanding of Puerto Rico with fascinating storytelling. As an antihero is Greenberg mindful that a bleak future awaits him, or will he make positive behavioral changes that'll serve as a breakthrough to the valued life he'd always wanted?Unaware of impending danger, his journey continues unabated.
