About this item
by Kevin Dickson (Author)
Kevin Dickson's Vampire State series is a love letter to gothic horror, New York City, human frailty, love and loss, the magic of women and the enduring power of friendship.
Deathland, the third Vampire State book, is the epic conclusion to the story of Sara, a five hundred year old vampire whose recent mid-life crisis has brought her love and enlightenment, as well as almost killing her, several times over.
The Vampire State series will continue, with other characters from the series taking the lead in upcoming installments.
With the vampire community in tatters after Desdemona's murder spree, Sara and the remaining Cursed women face their biggest threat yet: Desdemona is sending wave after wave of hungry, newly infected vampire men to New York City, threatening the safety of the entire world.
As Sara enlists vampires from around the world to defeat Desdemona, dark secrets surface from centuries past, loyalties are tested, and a series of brutal encounters decimate the New York Lock, changing it forever.
From Red Hook to the Cloisters, from Bucharest to the Finger Lakes, from eternal life to circling death, the thrilling, heartbreaking conclusion of Sara's story will destroy you.
