You will read of no facial expressions that they don't \u003cem\u003etalk\u003c\/em\u003e about, no un-\u003cem\u003enoticed\u003c\/em\u003e reactions or un-\u003cem\u003evocalized\u003c\/em\u003e thoughts. Further, you won't see \u003cem\u003eproper\u003c\/em\u003e names; nothing but \u003cem\u003enicknames\u003c\/em\u003e and the odd title. The \u003cem\u003eitalics\u003c\/em\u003e are for emphasis. Conversations are naturally paced; some spoken phrases or sentences \u003cem\u003einvite\u003c\/em\u003e response, and are marked by (...). I generously use these ellipsis for this pacing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMost of the story takes place in either a two-bedroom, two-story, bath-and-a-half townhouse on a quiet rural\/suburban street, or in a small neighborhood tavern not far away. The buildings in the neighborhood are close enough together that the comings-and-goings of neighbors are not a mystery, nor are \u003cem\u003esome\u003c\/em\u003e of their \u003cem\u003eother\u003c\/em\u003e activities.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere are no scenes set; no transitional segues described other than in their dialogues. Story breaks and chapters \u003cem\u003emay\u003c\/em\u003e move from one location to another-and you'll \u003cem\u003eknow\u003c\/em\u003e when they are important-but just as often, they merely mark the passing of time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThis Redhead\u003c\/em\u003e will require more of \u003cem\u003eyour\u003c\/em\u003e imagination than any other story you have \u003cem\u003eever\u003c\/em\u003e read. You should provide missing elements out of your experience. The interior layout of rooms, how crowded the bar is, or any other visual elements you can make up as you see fit. As their dialogs are very personal to them, so too will the scene settings become personal to you.
